Abstract: Objective To study the effective methods to prevent complications such as bleeding, infection and adhesion after circumcision in children. Methods The data of 364 children who underwent circumcision in our outpatient clinic from January 2010 to November 2014 were retrospectively analyzed. Circumcision was performed under local anesthesia, and Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) was applied to the surgical incision after surgery. Results The local edema of the wound surface subsided 3-4 days after surgery, the sutures of the wound fell off 7-10 days, and the wound was basically healed in 15-20 days. Only 5 of the 365 cases had postoperative adhesion. Conclusion The application of compound polymyxin B after circumcision in children reduces the occurrence of postoperative complications.
