Abstract :Objective To explore and analyze the clinical efficacy and mechanism of Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) combined with fluticasone propionate cream in the treatment of eczema. Methods A total of 98 patients with eczema admitted to our hospital from February 2015 to December 2016 were enrolled in the study and divided into an observation group and a control group according to different treatment methods, with 49 cases in each group. The control group was given simple fluticasone propionate cream applied to the rash once a day; the observation group was given Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) combined with fluticasone propionate cream applied alternately to the affected area twice a day. The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groups of patients on the 7th and 15th days after treatment were observed and recorded. Results On the 7th day after treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group (75.51%) was compared with that of the control group (73.47%), and there was no significant difference (P>0.05); on the 15th day after treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group (93.88%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (77.55%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with the use of fluticasone propionate cream alone in the treatment of eczema patients, the alternating use of Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) combined with fluticasone propionate cream has better efficacy and fewer adverse reactions.
