Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) combined with glucocorticoids in the treatment of eczema. Methods:A computerized search of Cochrane library, Embase, Pubmed, CNKI, CBM, VIP and Wanfang data databases was conducted to collect randomized controlled trials
of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) combined with glucocorticoids for the treatment of eczema, and the search time limit was from the establishment of the library to March 2018. After 2 investigators independently screened the literature, extracted information and evaluated the risk of bias of the included studies, meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. RESULTS: A total of 11 studies were included, with a cumulative total of 1,397 patients.Meta-analysis results showed that, in terms of effectiveness, the combination of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) and glucocorticoid in the treatment of eczema increased the effective rate (RR=1.21, 95%CI: 1.15
~1.27, P<0.001), and reduced the recurrence rate (RR=0.23, 95%CI: 0.12~0.46, P<0.001). 0.12-0.46, P<0.001). In terms of safety, the combination of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) and glucocorticoid did not increase the incidence of adverse reactions (RR=0.85, 95%CI: 0.47-1.57, P=0.61). Conclusion: The combination of topical glucocorticoid with polymyxin B ointment can improve the efficacy of eczema treatment and reduce the recurrence rate without increasing the risk of adverse reactions.
