Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of hydrocortisone butyrate ointment and Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in the treatment of eczematous dermatitis. Methods A total of 78 patients were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group (n=40) was treated with hydrocortisone butyrate ointment and Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment), twice a day, with an interval of 3 hours between each application. The control group (n=38) was treated with hydrocortisone butyrate ointment alone, twice a day, for 2 consecutive weeks. Results The effective rate was 87.5% in the treatment group and 68.42% in the control group. There was a significant difference in the effective rate between the two groups (ⅹ 2=8.72, p ＜ 0.050). There were no adverse reactions in both groups. Conclusion The combined effect of hydrocortisone butyrate ointment and Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in the treatment of eczematous dermatitis is better than that of hydrocortisone butyrate ointment alone.
