Observation on the efficacy of compound polymyxin B ointment in preventing wound infection after laser treatment of condyloma acuminatum

1 General information Patients with condyloma acuminatum who visited our outpatient clinic from March 2008 to April 2009 were selected. All patients met the diagnostic criteria of clinical dermatology, had no other sexually transmitted diseases, and agreed to take medication according to the requirements of this trial. Exclusion criteria: ① Patients who used other antibiotics within 1 week before treatment or during treatment; ② Patients with immune diseases such as diabetes and systemic lupus erythematosus; ③ Patients who did not follow the doctor's advice to take medication; ④ Pregnant or lactating women. A total of 158 cases were selected, including 81 males and 77 females, aged 18 to 68 years old, with an average age of (27.1 ± 3.5) years old. The lesions were located on the glans of the foreskin, scrotum, groin, vulva, labia majora and minora, andThe wound surface after CO2 laser treatment was 0.5 cm × 1.0 cm to 3.5 cm × 3.0 cm in the perianal area. The selected patients were randomly divided into two groups, 86 cases in the treatment group and 72 cases in the control group. The age, gender, size and location of the wound surface after CO2 laser treatment were comparable between the two groups.
