Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) on residual burn wounds of large areas. Methods 35 patients with extensive burns, with a total of 87 wounds, were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group, 18 cases, with 47 wounds; the control group, 17 cases, with 40 wounds. The treatment group applied Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment), and the control group applied 10% povidone-iodine ointment. The ointment was applied topically to the affected area, bid or tid, and 14 days constituted a course of treatment. , observe the bacterial clearance rate and healing status of the wounds of the two groups after 1 to 2 courses of treatment. Results: Bacteriological examination showed that Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus were the main infectious bacteria in the wound, and they were multi-resistant to commonly used antibacterial drugs. The total effective rate of the treatment group was 91.5%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group. 52. 5% (P < 0. 01); Regarding the bacterial clearance of wounds, there were 20 cases of bacterial infection in the treatment group and 16 cases were cleared, while in the control group, there were 21 cases of bacterial infection and 3 cases were cleared. Conclusion Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) is suitable for the treatment of residual wound infection after large-area burns.
