Application of compound polymyxin B ointment in the treatment of cervical erosion with high-intensity focused ultrasound

Objective To observe the efficacy of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in promoting wound healing in high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment of cervical erosion. Methods 180 patients with cervical II and III degree erosion were randomly selected and divided into control group and treatment group, with 90 cases in each group. After high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment, the control group received purely natural wound repair therapy, while the treatment group received Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment)-assisted wound repair therapy. Results The incidence of postoperative vaginal bleeding in the treatment group was 18.0 %, which was lower than 30.3% in the control group (P<0.05). The bleeding time of patients with bleeding in the treatment group was 7.48±3.87 days, which was less than 16.35±3.98 days in the control group (P<0.05); in the treatment group of infected cases, it was 7.48±3.87 days. There were 6 cases in the control group (P<0.05). There was a significant difference in the wound healing rate between the two groups (P<0.05), and the treatment group was better than the control group. Conclusion The addition of compound polymyxin ointment after high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment of cervical erosion has obvious effects on promoting wound repair.
