Abstract :Objective To compare the infection prevention and analgesic effects of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) and mupirocin ointment after microwave treatment of condyloma acuminatum. Methods A total of 163 patients with condyloma acuminatum were treated with conventional microwave surgery for warts. After surgery, they were randomly divided into two groups. 83 cases were treated with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment), and 80 cases were treated with mupirocin ointment, 3 times a day for 14 consecutive days. Results The pain scores of the compound polymyxin B group were lower than those of the mupirocin group at 12h, 24h and 96h after topical application, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The effective rate of compound polymyxin B (98.80%) was higher than that of mupirocin (93.75%), and the difference was also statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) after microwave surgery can improve the pain symptoms of patients with condyloma acuminatum , effectively avoid wound infection, and facilitate wound recovery.
