Abstract :Objective To analyze and explore the clinical efficacy of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) for bacterial skin diseases. Methods A total of 72 patients with bacterial skin diseases admitted to our hospital from September 2008 to April 2013 were selected as clinical trial subjects. According to the principle of randomization, parallelism and double-blind, they were divided into two groups. The observation group was treated with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment), and the control group was treated with ciprofloxacin hydrochloride ointment. The clinical efficacy and bacterial clearance rate of the two groups were compared. Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 83.3%, and the total clinical effective rate of the control group was 77.8%. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was better than that of the control group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups, P>0.05. The bacterial clearance rates of the two groups were compared, and the bacterial clearance rates of the observation group and the control group were 75.0% and 83.3%, respectively, with no significant difference, P>0.05. Conclusion Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) can achieve good therapeutic effect in the treatment of bacterial skin diseases, and its efficacy is equivalent to that of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride ointment, which is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.
