Abstract : Objective To apply compound polymyxin B cream externally to the postoperative incision of perianal abscess, observe the healing of the incision, including the incision area and review the blood routine white blood cell count, and analyze its clinical value. Methods A total of 68 patients with clinically diagnosed perianal abscess admitted to the inpatient department of the Anorectal Department of our hospital from January to December 2015 were screened and divided into an observation group of 34 cases and a control group of 34 cases using the random number table method. Conventional intravenous antibiotics (ornidazole injection) were used for anti-infective and symptomatic treatment. Patients in the observation group were treated with compound polymyxin B topical cream for 9 days after surgery, while patients in the control group were treated with mupirocin after surgery. For topical ointment treatment, the effect is evaluated by observing the surgical incision of perianal abscess every 3 days. The observation indicators include incision area and reexamination of blood white blood cell count for analysis and comparison. Results The total clinical treatment effectiveness of the patients in the observation group was as high as 82.35%, which was 52.94% compared with that of the patients in the control group. There was a statistical difference in the clinical results (P<0.05). Comparing the incision area and white blood cell count of the two groups of patients after treatment, the patients in the observation group had significant Better than the control group, there was a statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Compound polymyxin B cream can effectively inhibit bacterial growth on the incision surface, reduce wound secretions, quickly eliminate inflammation, dry the wound, and accelerate incision healing time when applied to perianal abscess postoperative incisions. The clinical effect is significant.
