Abstract : Objective To explore the clinical effect of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in the treatment of impetigo. Methods 45 children with impetigo admitted to Huaxian People's Hospital from June 2015 to June 2016 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group. Twenty-three cases in the control group received external application of erythromycin ointment, and 22 cases in the observation group received Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment). Compare the therapeutic effects of the two groups of children. Results After treatment, symptom scores such as skin lesion thickness, skin lesion hardness, skin lesion area, and itching degree in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rates of treatment in the control group and observation group were 73.9% and 95.5% respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). No obvious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups of children during the treatment. Conclusion Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) has significant effect in treating impetigo and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
