Abstract :Objective: To explore the effect of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in children with Shang Ring circumcision. Methods: A total of 64 male children with phimosis and prepuce hyperplasia who underwent Shang Ring circumcision in the outpatient department of Urology of our hospital from January 2021 to July 2022 were enrolled and randomly divided into an observation group (Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) group) and a control group (povidone iodine solution), with 32 cases in each group. The incidence of postoperative incision infection, adhesion of scab to the inner ring, moderate to severe exudation and scab of glans, and moderate to severe edema of foreskin were compared between the two groups. Results: The incidence of adhesion of the inner ring after removal of the ring was 6.25% in the observation group, which was significantly different from 56.25% in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative infection and moderate to severe exudation of glans in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusion: The method of applying Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) to the wound surface of the internal ring and glans penis can reduce the exudation of the glans penis wound, reduce the postoperative infection rate, internal ring adhesion and other complications, and is suitable for clinical promotion.
